I was really hoping that I could use this for almost everything to plan, but have given up trying. Too much data lost (doesn't back up automatically like iCal and Address Book; I have to click on another category to remember), no consistency with the layout to the simple mac window, Could not get customise themes (virtually useless save the black one), and events too difficult to read or differentiate.
A real bummer. I hope it develops into a type of Entourage for Mac, without being so bloated, but keeping what we all use in one app (address, iCal, notes, simple project management) AND remember everything as you type just in case the computer trips up and freezes.
Could be so much leaner, stronger.

I'll say a couple of things:1. What you're asking for is the very definition of bloatware (multiple "features" packed into a single program)
2. Bento was never marketed as an "Entourage killer". It's job is not to be a personal organiser or anything so specific. It's a database application which can be put to many different uses. Unfortunately, as with all databases, how good this works depends on how good the structure of the individual database is.
3. Not sure how you managed to "lose too much data", that takes some doing. I'm intrigued to hear what you actually mean.
From what you've written in your post, I'd suggest you actually use Entourage. I use it at work and it functions very nicely and I suspect it would fulfill your needs just perfectly.
