Sodium update - mailing.lists.2005
Making the news this week is the announcement that sodium content in processed food varies by country, making the use of the USRDA database a farce for anyone planning on using this, or any other application that relies on the USRDA. If you are not purchasing food items in the US, you will need to input and create your own database for every food item.In some cases, sodium levels for Canadian products (Made in the USA proudly stamped on the packaging) is *triple* that of the same product sold to Americans.
