iWork - afwings

Without EGO* there will be no "Link" between, say, Pages and MathType. If you want, you can use MathType with iWork applications with copy & paste or drag & drop, but be aware that the vertical alignment of the equation with the text won't be what you're used to seeing in Word or other word processors, and when you double-click an equation to edit it, nothing will happen.

*EGO = Edit Graphic Object. "In the EGO scenario, an application that contains an embedded object that was created by another application allows a user to edit the object in the creating application." Basically that means that iWork doesn't know what application created the MathType equations.
