TimeMachine was slowing me down on my iMac during its incessant backups. TimeMachine Editor permitted me to restrict my backups to 2AM daily. That's about all that I really need, though I could easily add other backup times as well. TimeMachine Editor has a small footprint, and it is a set-it-and-forget-it application. Documentation is sparse, but well illustrated and more than adequate on the developer's web site. It is really an uncomplicated utility. The only thing that I would suggest would be automatic checking for updates each time that the app is opened.
