Failed AutoUdate - AlejandroRmz
Hi,The AutoUpdate is usually available a couple of hours after the standalone Update. Please go to http://www.microsoft.com/mac and get a copy of the standalone Updater from the Downloads section, or try via AutoUpdate later today.

Ditto with regard to using Help->Check for Updates--at least from within Microsoft Word 2004--for the v11.5.1 under OS 10.5.4 (Intel). (Note: The Operating System Requirements listed on this VersionTracker page doesn't include Intel, but that didn't stop the v11.5.0 updater from apparently working as intended.)I downloaded the v11.5.1 updater using the Download Now link. It mounted and ran to an indicated successful completion. While I find that my Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint applications now reflect v11.5.1, my Word still shows v11.5.0. (It's too late, for me, to see whether the Help->Check for Updates in either Excel or PowerPoint might have found the updater.) When I clicked on the link in "What's new in this version" to find out more about the v11.5.1 updater and whether it should have also updated the version number for Word, I got advice that "The Knowledge Base (KB) Article You Requested Is Currently Not Available". Sigh.

Failed AutoUdate - Goof-Off
I kept getting "failed to connect to server" messages. I finally got my fill of that and booted into Windows XP on my Mac. Went to the site, saved the updates to my desktop and installed without any problem. Seems Microsoft must be limiting Macs access to its download site.Wednesday, August 13 2008 @ 07:11 AM PDT
