Yeah, My install also place all of the contents of the original Soho Notes application in the Root of my volume! No Good Man!! I moved them all back to the appropriate folder within the Applications folder, but that is just ridiculous!

Yes, well, it probably is ridiculous, especially depending on your expectations. Since working with SoHo Notes for some time (going back to the days when StickyBrain 2 was bundled with Mac OS X... before chronosnet bought it and added OpenBase etc.) I've learned that the company is a tad on the conservative side. Including giving full recommended installation instructions.

You're best off uninstalling your current version of 7.x of SoHo Notes AND also uninstalling the database engine (i.e., OpenBase) BEFORE installing the new version here (7.0.3). If you do that, simply make sure that you hit the "customize" button during installation to make sure that the database engine is being re-installed with the only slightly updated version of SoHo Notes, and then install.

Everything will end up where you expect it to be. NOT in the root directory...

Probably Chronosnet should re-think this update policy, or simply tell us EXPLICITLY to do it the long way, with these extra cautious steps.

Once it's re-installed, everything seems to work fine. Remains to be seen if there are the improvements to OpenBase that they claim. OpenBase is a major pain in the ass, and not the best choice by Chronosnet for their products, but that's the deal they bought into. Probably way too late to switch to another version of SQL, or too expensive for them.
