So, VT has Camino 1.6.3 available. Great. Two questions: what happened to 1.6.2, and why didn't 1.6.1 offer me either update even though the preference setting is set to have it do so?

Thank goodness for Version Tracker! - s_morgan

1.6.3 has been out for less than 24 hours, and the automatic update check only happens once a day, so you probably just hadn't waited long enough.

1.6.2 was never released, which is why 1.6.1 didn't offer it as an update.

Camino 1.6.2 … - Compuglobal

Hi,

of course, Camino 1.6.2 was released:
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/camino/releases/Camino-1.6.2.dmg
I also wondered about that 1.6.2 was not listed by Versiontracker.

It was built, and it was staged for release (the URL you gave), but we never formally released it. It wasn't announced, and it wasn't pushed as an auto-update, so for all practical purposes, it wasn't released (any more than all the nightly builds that can be downloaded from that same FTP server are "released").
