Not to bag on this product, because I haven't used it, but why pay $20 for this when I can get MacTheRipper? Or Handbrake - for free? What does RipIt do that these don't? Nothing, from what I can tell. Furthermore, looking at some of the discs causing problems for RipIt, I can say that MTR fixed these problems (Ice Age, for example) more than a year ago, maybe two.

I rip with MTR, then batch process conversion to MP4 with Handbrake. MTR works like a charm, has a ton of "expert" features, but is simple enough for anyone to use. And it works. Always.
