Maybe it's just me, but since I installed the latest version, it refuses to open when clicked on. This was just a minor annoyance, now happening more frequently. I have had to restart to get it to work right or at all if I want to use anything in it. It's my main source for empting the trash securely. It also freezes the menu bar. I use it on my iBook G4, 10.4.11 PPC. I love the program and wouldn't be without it so I'm going back to the last version which worked without fail for me. Maybe it has to do with Leopard. I don't know, but won't be upgrading for a long while yet, so I have to make everything work with what I have. The developer suggested starting the app directly from the applications folder-did that, no luck, logged out, back in, no luck, restart whole laptop-viola.

problem with latest version - Joe Wheeler
This "app" is never going to show up either in the dock or as a free-standing application. Look in the Menu bar for an additional icon, drop it down, and all features are there. BTW, there is a bug-fix version 1.7.4 available on that 'other' Mac user 'update' site [hint], seemingly only available there, not from the developer's site.Once you understand that it is a background application with a menu bar access, you can use it from there to your heart's content, and it is highly effective.

I've got the same problem - for me it has never worked, when I try to launch the application from the applications folder or from the dock, nothing happens. When I go into Activity Monitor - I can see that there is a Main Menu process running, but the application is invisible in every way. This is worrying.
