As an ardent ex-Safari and Camino 1.6.1 user, I decided to give Firefox a try again, and got involved with the FF3 betas. For the record, Beta 5 seemed to be the nippiest. Now that the browser is fully released (3.0.1) I am very VERY disappointed in the page load performance. Compared to Camino, my experience is like running knee high in mud with rubber boots on. A lot of energy seems to be being expended, but very little is coming back in return. I know the developers have had to 'kludge' certain aspects of Firefox to 'work' on the Mac OS, but my gawd, this is dismal. I might like to add at this point I only have Flash Block and Ad Block as add-on extensions and I only frequent general news, some forums and information type sites. Once tarted up with GrApple, the browser does look very nice indeed, but its performance is going to make me seriously reconsider the Camino world again.

If I could rate this out of 5, I'd probably give it a 2. The long awaited BIG release to 3.x really sucks bolts as far as I am concerned. Of course, your mileage may vary.
