I was looking for an alternative to AutoHide since it is no longer compatible with Leopard. I was hoping this app was it but unfortunately it is not.
This app forces you to define what you want to hide. One painful app at a time. This is just stupid! The program should hide everything by default and let me define what apps I don't want it to hide.
It should also have a "never hide when switching to" option. For example, when I switch to the calculator I do not want to hide my current application.
NOTE TO DEVELOPER: Duplicate the functionality of auto-hide and I'll buy your app!
So far the Dragthing seems to be the best alternative to AutoHide.

HideItControl
auto hide apps not in foreground
Version: 1.25
Just copy the functionality of AutoHide! - soundsgoodtome
Ditto, ditto, ditto!!!I've used AutoHide for many years, but it has stopped working all together. I was desperately hoping HideItControl had similar functionality, but sadly, it doesn't.
I'd be happy -- happy! -- to pay for HideItControl, if it did the following:
• Having to define apps to be hidden -- one at a time -- is beyond tedious. HideItControl should work the *opposite* way: Automatically hide everything, except the apps that I manually add to a "do not hide" list.
• Secondly, it needs a "Never hide when switching to" option. Frankly, this is mandatory.
To the developer: Please add these features, and feel free to charge for it! Maybe the existing one could be "HideIt! Light" vs. "HideIt!" (or whatever).
