Does not work on Intel Core 2 Duo Macs

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

If you install this Retrospect Client on ANY Intel Core 2 Duo Mac (which is the entire lineup of Apple computers these days), the Client will automatically turn itself OFF after the Mac is put to sleep, which makes it utterly useless to be used with a laptop -- or any other machine that would be regularly put to sleep. This problem does not happen with earlier Macs.

Does not work on Intel Core 2 Duo Macs - eclair--2008

Hi,

this bug is incredibly simple to solve, and yet this solution is rarely documented: you must QUIT retrospect client while it is on "on". This way, it always remains active.

If you keep your client running, as soon as you put your mac to sleep or if you lose your internet connection (because you are in an area without WIFI support for example), it will revert back to "off".

So just quit the app and it will work...always.

Does not work on Intel Core 2 Duo Macs - Jedih

Quitting Retrospect Client while it's On doesn't fix the problem that it turns itself off on every restart/sleep for us. I have about 10 users which now doesn't have any regular and daily backup because of this bug!
