BUTT, I just upgraded to iPhoto 7.0 from everyone's favorite tracker which I send 6.00 a month to support them for saving me thousands of dollars. Don't get me wrong, I've paid more than my share for software.

And yes, I can update iPhoto. After I do a clone with SuperDuper, I'll do a QuickTime 7.5 update. That way I will be able to reverse easy this time.

If I wanted I could have had a full iLife 08 or anything else I wanted. If I put my mind to it, I could take over a small country.

I think it's great Petty has a pair of goody two shoes, as for myself, I'm a barbarian. I come from 15,000+ years of Barbarians.

We aren't about to stop pillaging now.

As for iPhoto, I think it's an awesome application. I like iTunes and iMovie as well. I don't have any use for other stuff in iLife and iWork. I quess pages is alright, I have it, just haven't used it yet.

The thing I need the most is a new computer. I was holding out waiting for Apple to let all the other computer makers install their system software. The talk in the grapevine is, that's why Apple went Intel and has been tweaking their System software to take over the world of computers. Soon Microsoft will be out of the computer market and into Game stations only. Gates got his money and is getting old, so he could care less, and most likely after the Vista flop, he saw the writing on the wall.

Sorry to be so Petty - Laraine Anne Barker

Apple is a computer manufacturer first and foremost. It makes most of its profit from the hardware it sells. Why should it let its software be installed on any piece of junk the way Windows is? No wonder people have so much trouble with Windows!

There's not a big difference between computer hardware. It all comes from the very same source. Apple computers aren't made in the good old US of A.

PC's have Intel, Macs Have Intel chips. That's the only parts made in the usa, my good friend since grade school has been the head of product and development at Intel for 33 years. He's coming to visit me this summer since he has a business meeting in NYC.

You can make a hackintosh now if you want, but Apple needs to give their approvel and do a tweak, then Apple OS can be run on anything. The other computer hardware is not cheap quality as you think.
Why would they do this you ask. MicroSoft has made more money on software then Apple has with hardware and software. So if Apple can take over the entire world of computers, this may include selling some apple parts to the other computer makers. All the computer companies are all dying to run Mac OS. I guess you just need to be in the high level loop to know these things that aren't public yet.
