This is a great little MP3 and AAC/AACplus stream player. The sound quality of 128 kpbs MP3 streams is fantastic. A 48 kbps AACplus stream wasn't very good, but I believe that was the fault of the low bit rate (AACPlus isn't a miracle maker). The app contains a pretty massive index of music streams/stations to choose from, and you can also add any stream you want by entering its URL. Once started, you can pause the current stream with the play/pause button, or select a different stream. I have only used it over WiFi because I'm on an iPod Touch, but the lower bit-rate streams should work (and from what I've read, do work) even over Edge.
The only problem with it, but I don't believe it is the fault of Tuner, is that when you quit out of the application the stream stops playing, unlike when you are playing music files residing on your iPod via the iPod controls. I believe the reason for this is that Apple is not allowing applications to run in the background, and therefore it isn't possible for Tuner to continue playing if you quit out of it. That's too bad, and unfortunately that does make this a little less useful than it could be, so I have to take a star off for it. Hopefully Apple will address this shortcoming of the OS in a future firmware upgrade. None-the-less, this is a fantastic little app that is well worth the asking price.
