The playback volume is nice and loud. You can title your recordings but only prior to recording, and that can be a bit of a problem if you don't have the luxury of time to set it up. QuickVoice for the iPhone has much more in the way of features (pausing during recording or playback and future syncing with their desktop application), but it'll cost you a few bucks. However, if free is what you want, and you don't need any bells or whistles, Voice Record should fit the bill.
