Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

I just installed 0.8.6i and it spontaneously quits when I try to use it, including playing clips that VLC previously played successfully. I had the same problem with o.8.6g and reverted to .6f with some better success. But something sinister is going on, and I hope it can be swiftly resolved.

Delete your old preference file and see if this fixes it:

~/Library/Preferences/org.videolan.vlc.plist
