...about:
First, I don't find it aceptable that software built-in update mechanism want to install a new version that makes a former freewar into a shareware. This is close to scam if it doesn't inform the user about this change BEFORE installing the update.
Secondly, like for others commenting to me before, I only used this instead of the ugly Cisco frontend, so I can't justify it the shareware fee just for a GUI replacement. Maybe a 2.x "light" version without its own VPN enging for folks who have already installed Cisco VPN (for company usage reasons) for a little to no fee would be a good idea.
Until then, I will have to stick with version 1.0.7, or just with the Cisco client.

First, the user is informed BEFORE the upgrade that Shimo is shareware from now on!Secondly, Shimo 2 is a completely standalone VPN client with many different protocols supported. In the near future there will be no light version of Shimo 2. Of course, you can live with 1.0.7 as long as you want, but version 2 will be the only version with support and new advanced features... please compare it and then decide if you are willing to pay for a license.
