Goodness. Maybe it is due to the heavy load on the iTunes Store, but ... WOW ... this was an inelegant installation.
I had to click the "Check for Update" button a couple of times before the 2.0 availability appeared. Then, I clicked "Download and Install" ... and nothing happened. I then clicked, "Check for Update" and the 2.0 update wasn't available. Finally, after a few more clicks, I got the update to download. After the firmware was updated, I got a message that there was an error contacting the iTunes store, so the phone wouldn't activate. A few disconnect/reconnect-the-iPhone-to-the-computer later, the iPhone finally activated and is now in the process of restoring my media files.
It's no big deal ... just a hassle. Not typical of Apple.

If would have been more helpful if you had bothered to read my post before writing you comment. My post specifically explained the process I used. I did not download the the firmware package from any source other than Apple, and my comments related to the process I went through.

This is not the official update, that's why. This is that moronic site iphoneatlas.com submitting bunk info and a leaked link to VersionTracker.Reply to This
