Here is the wording on the License to use MacPilot:

Hello New Customer,

Thank you for your recent transaction with Koingo Software! If you have
any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us using the
form on our web site. Please do not reply to this e-mail address as it is
used for sales transactions only.

Below is a list of the current set of license codes you have registered
with us under the e-mail address: "whoever@wherever.com". Keep in mind,
upgrades and technical support are always free. You will also never have
to buy a second license for the PC or Mac version!

This goes back on a promise! - Koingo Software

This means that the licenses are cross platform -- not that there are free lifetime upgrades. For example, if you own the Mac version, you will not have to buy another license for the PC version. Your license will work on both platforms.

OK, the licenses are cross-platform. What about this “promise” just before that one: “Keep in mind, upgrades and technical support are always free.”
