Installing this changed the default file associations for office documents, without any warning (that I saw). That's unacceptable, particularly for beta software.
I also noted that it truncated the left-most character on one slide of text when that text was too big for the bounding box.

I don't know what Open Office did during installation, but no matter how many times I tell the Mac "Open .ppt with Microsoft PowerPoint, do this for all files of this type", many files are still marked with Open Office as the default application.So I trashed Open Office. -I- (and not the Open Office developers) will decide which damn application to use to open a file.
I wonder what else Open Office has changed.
NeoOffice does not exhibit this unacceptable behavior.
