Does nothing with nrg images :-(

:-( The app just runs for a second and then quits.

System Info:10.5.4 on a 2007 aluminium iMac 2.8GHz with 2GB RAM.

Just drag and drop onto the icon just as the app instructions say to do. No need to double click the app at all.
