I just installed Leopard on several MacBooks and MacBook Pros. I've had no problems with this update.
Let me make a suggestion. This is very likely 98% overkill, but it always works like a charm when updating the system software on my Macs. I hope this suggestion helps:
I download the entire combo updater from the Apple-->Support-->Download page (I know this is overkill, but the combo updaters always seem to cause fewer complications).
Then, I repair permissions.
I restart with Safe Boot mode (hold down the shift key when restarting).
Install the combo updater.
Restart the system.
Repair permissions, and then restart again.
Apple Mac OS X
Snow Leopard operating system.

Update Went Smoothly - AGREE - RPR44
Same here on my MacBook (Late 2007) with 4 GB RAM. Started from OS X 10.5.3, repaired permissions, Safe Booted to install combo updater, then another permissions repair after update is fully installed. No problems so far.Tuesday, July 01 2008 @ 09:00 AM PDT
