Of all my applications, SD is in the top-five.

However, ever since VersionTracker became part of CNet, Speed Download has lost its punch.

In the past, a double click on the item to be downloaded from a VT web page would open SD and allow a fast connection. The file could be sorted by Kind, stored in its correct folder, opened and installed.

Now, a double click does not work as expected or correctly. Using a Control+click+ drag a VT item to SD in the Dock, often produces a rather-useless, blank Safari page. The only solution is to go back to the original VT page, double-click on the file to be downloaded, and waaaiiiiittttt for it to arrive in a Downloads folder, where all files are clumped together.

Since SD's main purpose, for me anyway, is to assist in reducing the time taken to download files from sources such as VersionTracker, I find this development is not very helpful to say the least. Is this common for other users?
