First, the free ride is over.
MTR 2.66 is a great app, but to keep up with the ever changing technology
that the movie studios employ for "protecting their investment".
you need MTR v. 3.0. MTR 2.66 is obsolete, will never be patched, time to put it to bed.
Second, MTR v.3.0 does work correctly under Tiger and Leopard provided you
have a valid license file.
Copies off of newsgroups and P2P don't work, and the more legitimate users see you
guys posting this app, the more we turn you in to the developer and the developer
disables licenses and enacts tougher licensing requirements next go around.
Why no audio? here's a hint:Audio is present in a properly licensed version of the app.
on Tiger, on Leopard, on PPC or on an Intel Mac.
Third, The minimum donation of US $40 is high.
Blame Bush and Cheney and the weak @$$ American Dollar.
Blame all the people who would rather steal the app and repost it on P2P and NG
than pay for a legit copy.
Two million downloads of the free v 2.66 and the guy didn't get one dime.
Why shouldn't he charge for the next version? He's got to eat just like anybody else.
MTR is slick, fast and plays well with other DVD Apps such as DVD2ONEX and
Toast Titanium to produce playable backups of your precious collections.
$40 is peanuts compared to replacing three DVDs at $15 a pop.

This is not the place for your political commentaries. Bush/Chainy have nothing to do with weather the developer decides to charge for his work. Nor do they have anything to do with anything in technology or very little to do with anything regarding the economy. Neither are smart enough for that! With outgoing too far Presidents have little effect on our economy, our systems are designed that way, so if you want to blame the current goofballs you also have to blame the last set for getting us into the situation we are in. they Clinton's set the stage, for what we now live with. Congress and the presidency generally never have any effect on current affairs, most of what they do takes years to trickle into the economy or the world. They do it this way so they can always blame the next guy for thier errors and take credit for the successes of those they follow.

I agree to this statement you made below, but you should take your own advise and keep your own political commentaries to yourself."This is not the place for your political commentaries. Blame Bush Cheney? Stupid comments like that should be reserved for the Huffington post or similar far left blogs that you obviously skulk around on. You're supposed to be delivering your opinion on software. No one is asking for your obnoxious political ideology.Sunday, July 20 2008 @ 06:09 PM PDT

Why do you want to bring in politics into a discussion? If you want to blame someone blame the Democrats, they are the majority party.Monday, August 04 2008 @ 06:28 AM PDT

I think it is hilarious that MTR wants to get paid for an application which though legitimately useful is often used to steal others intellectual property. Now he gets upset because, ready, others are copying his intellectual property.hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
The world should be symmetrical.

Fine, I have no problem paying for MTR 3.0. The previous versions were the best ripper I ever used before I updated OSX to 10.5. I am unable to find MTR 3.0, it doesn't seem to exist. Show me the way, I will pay.Reply to This
