I am a twitter user looking for an alternative than can handle mutiple accounts.

Here are a few suggestions for Twucket:

- The user interface needs some design love. Seriously.

- Support multiple accounts.

- Add the entry field at the top of the window, like on Twitter.com.

Thanks.

re: suggestions - jacknutting

Thanks for the useful feedback, Gabriel! Here are my thoughts about your suggestions:
  • "design love" is definitely on the roadmap. In a future release (hopefully not too far off) users will even be able to create their own look with CSS
  • input field at the top sounds like a reasonable option. I put it at the bottom because that's the way every IM and IRC client I've ever used has it, but I will consider this for a settable preference in the future.
  • I haven't really thought about multi-user, since I've designed Twucket mainly around my own usage patterns, but of course I can consider this as well. Since you're the first to suggest this, I put it to you: How should this work? Separate windows, one for each account? A tabbed window? All the tweets for multiple accounts mixed together? As of the new 1.1.0 release, you can in fact set the twitter username in the preferences panel, and it will use that the next time it fetches tweets, perhaps that can work for you in the short term.
