They fixed the bug (see info in this thread: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4363 )

download version 1.35a at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/files/audacity-macosx-1.3.5a.dmg

note that 1.36 is due out momentarily and will also contain this bug fix.
