I am a Mac fan and user for over 10 years now. This is by far the worst Mac operating system I've ever used. I hoped, that it would resolve many stability issues. Installed it last night. Today I had 3 crashes so far. It froze every time in Apple mail. Mail and Address book are so buggy in 10.5.xx.I haven't even tried Indesign so far.

It's bad, I love many of the new cool features like quickview, but I am so close to downgrade to 10.4. I want to work!!! Otherwhise I could buy a windows pc. Grrrr.

unstable - Dester Wallaboo

Are you running 3rd party extensions that aren't Leopard compatible... like older versions of APE or Little Snitch? Did you repair permissions before and after install? Did you boot of your install CD and repair disk to ensure you don't have any corrupted directories prior to install?

We've only had grief on one machine out of the dozens we installed 10.5.... and guess what?... it had a corrupted directory and the user hadn't ran disk utility prior to install.

The vast majority of problems people are facing are due to the things listed above. And I'll bet you're probably in the same camp.

unstable - Jason!

If you have a G4 processor, I would agree that 10.5 is not so hot. Indeed, most of the people screaming with joy have Intel Macs. They often bash us G4 users by saying, "I've not had a problem installing on a dozen Macs," and then fail to state that all those Macs were Intel!

G4 users have real issues with 10.5!
