This is a great application. Absolutely great.

I can't think of anything more convenient for sending things securely over the Internet or just keeping files secured. Until now I have been using TrueCrypt which is also a great application, but TrueCrypt is quite a bit more complicated to use, though it offers a higher level of security (but I don't really need that much security most of the time, just don't want snoopers peeking).

The instructions are clear (the application is very easy to use and almost self-explanatory anyway) but they could be a bit more complete (for instance, I don't know how to make a new dmg without closing the window and opening iDmg all over again; it isn't a big deal to do that, but I wish I could just clear the window. I am also not sure what to do after I click on + ).

But I am so grateful for the application that I don't want to gripe!

I notice that I gave 'Support' only 3 stars. I actually didn't mean that the support is not good: I only meant that the instructions in Help could be a bit more complete. Some things are not explained.

Man, it would be one strange app if it could not let you perform its main task without being relaunched! When you launch iDMG (the app is, indeed, excellent) you may begin dragging and dropping files and/or folders into its widow to your heart's content. This is how it works: After it's finished its first task just bring iDMG to the front using Option Tab or clicking on its icon in the Dock - iDMG window is (still) there, waiting for you to drop another file onto it. It's that simple. Also, you may have inadvertently check the Quit When Finished box in Preferences (Extras). Uncheck it.

thanks - waldstille

Thanks for letting me (and others like me!) know.

I had discovered myself that all you have to do is drop another folder into the window and it will automatically replace the previous one. It is even simply than what I asked for, which was to click on a button to make the previous folder disappear. I came here to add this to my previous comment.

By the way, Patrick Chamelo the creator very prompty responded to my question about the + button: it is to create a new empty dmg.

So...once again, a wonderful application!
