I read a lot, and being able to read ebooks saves me from having a house full of stacks of books - Plus I actually find I read faster reading ebooks. And yes I do still buy the occasional printed book just because I miss the feel and smell. But, since the developer seems to be monitoring this Versiontracker page - How about an ereader for the iPod touch? eReader.com is a place where I buy lots of recreational reading, and they offer free eReader software for every OS and handheld device, except the iPod Touch - so far. Maybe you could get them to make you an offer. It would be almost transcendental to have an ereader like yours for the iPod Touch, something that works well to read with, and to organize a small library that a person might want to carry around. Among people who enjoy ebooks there is coming to be a mounting demand for a good ereader for the iPod Touch - something that would be compliant with Adobe licensed ebooks and generic commercial ebooks like those found at eReader.com.

Well, some people already have a book reader on their Touch. It is called eBooks and is pretty easy to find, assuming your iPod is properly ready for 3rd party applications. It can read plain text or html, so I'm sure would work quite well along with Voluminous. I've used this particular app probably more than any other since I got my iPod in January, even more than Music. It works great, although the last version had a bug or 2. There is a new version out very recently I haven't tried, yet.No doubt there will be other apps created after 3rd party applications become "official" in June.

We'd very much like to offer our users the ability to read their books on iPhone or iPod Touch -- we hope to make an announcement about this in a few weeks. Thanks for getting in touch!Reply to This
