VT have now been in touch to say the problem was due to confusion over promocodes and the usual support ninja being on vacation. Thanks to the developers of the two apps for responding so quickly and contacting VT. So, if anyone is having the same problem, the same confusion may have arisen. Thanks Tom at VT for sorting it out and I look forward to the serials.

How did you get support at VT to respond so fast? I've been waiting over a week now to get my VT Pro app fixed. I can login to the web site and look around and also change my profile, etc but my VT Pro App just stopped working. It tells me I have an invalid login/password - even though I can log in to the web page just fine.This all started about the time I got an email from CNet saying that they had merged my multiple accounts across their sites (I had one for MacFixIt and VT and another for CNet.com) into one. Now I can only get into VT and MacFixIt on the web, but my VTP app is just taking up space on my hard disk.
