(Sorry for the earlier redundancy, VT sent me a spurious error message that my first posting hadn't posted.)
Apparently, KSR is always on in background. Turning KSR Edit -- which creates log files -- does not turn off KSR. In my case at least, this means (until I get a registration number) that the damn thing beeps or bops or whatever every 25th typed character...which is very annoying. I suppose I can turn it off by disabling Universal Access, but what a workaround that is for a fairly simple task: just quitting KSR. I'll report back once I get my registration number. My suggestion: don't install this software until you have the reg number in hand and can disable the 25-typed character limitation on storage (and hence the annoying sound).
