Update or not (updated without issues) this thing is just intolerably slow on my MBP 2.4Ghz with 4 MB. The first launch for any of these apps takes at least 1 min. Subsequent launches are faster but hardly speedy. Powerpoint takes forever to open presentations, then more time to actually render the slides. This might be tolerable if the new features were compelling, but for routine work-related tasks I've found nothing that sets this apart from Office 2004, except that it's painfully slower. I've tried all the suggestions for speeding things up, both system-related and Office preference related. Nothing really helps.

For the first time in at least a decade, I've started checking out alternatives including Nisus, Open/Neo Office, Pages, etc.
