Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

Just like the previous reviewer, I emailed support May 6th for help with setting up my port mapping because I am having trouble getting Papaya to work. I know it is just with my settings, so I just asked what they should be. Nothing. Nada. Not a peep from them. I even told them I am a license holder (won a license from another web site). Granted, it has only been a week and a half, but my advice to anyone thinking about buying is to make sure it works for you as is because most likely, you won't be getting any help from this company. I'll post again if/when I hear from them and let everyone know if I get any customer service.

Hi,

I can't figure out your real name from your user name, so I can't find your email message. We're sorry you're having problems. Here are the mapping settings:

Protocol: TCP
(External and internal) port(s): 6900
Internal IP address: (your Mac's IP address)

Regarding your advice; making sure software works before you buy it is something you should always do, and it's central to the whole concept of shareware. So that's good advice regardless of product. :-)

We reply to all requests for help. Let us know if you still can't get it to work, and we'll see what we can do.

Tomas, Lighthead Software

Awesome program... not so awesome company.
I've contacted the company two times, using different emails. That was like months ago. Think twice before buying a product from a company that doesn't seem to care about their costumers!

Right now I'm on Tiger, so the program isn't an option for me. There is a freeware called DropShare that seems to do the job... Just remember to open the port 8090.
