Considering the very frequent update schedule (which must be commended), it might be a good idea to integrate Sparkle support for automatic updates without having to use the Web. Just a suggestion. In the meantime, keep up the good work!

Comparing Adobe's updater to Sparkle is an ignorant thing to do.You ought to give it a try and see what your users feel about it. You'll find that applications like Adium are more popular because they use Sparkle. Seriously, it's convenient.

Personally, I dispise auto updaters. Adobe's crappy implementation has put a bad taste in my mouth. I've seen Adobe's updater break an installation and ask to reinstall it from the CD.Most of the time when ShareWare software asks for an update, it gets in the way of what I am trying to accomplish.
You will probably not see an auto update feature in StarPlayr2 ever.
If you want, you can just update it yourself once a week on your own schedule. Currently the next version 2.1 will not be released until the end of July.
