I had a rather good experience with this update, considering its a MS product. Installer ran without a glitch, some of the annoying bugs of previous release have disappeared, and, so far, I didnt experience any new bug (is it a surprise ? yes ; remember its a MS update)

Word and Excel seem to launch a bit snappier (maybe I'm fooled ...), 4 secs for Word, 3 secs for Excel (second launch , of course). Twice the time Pages takes, but not too bad (remember : its a MS product)

Some bad and blatant problems remain, however : some useful features disappeared with VB, and , shame on MBU, OfficeVx (Rosetta ...) remains ... three times quicker ... with every bit of really useful features included (except support of .xlsx and.docx, but they are more on the side of annoyance than usefulness, for average user I mean)

Bottom line : there is a fix for Office 2008 problems (especially on old Macs) : upgrade to Office Vx and see ... how MS software can fly ! (or Office 2007 + Parallels, flies too ...)
