Bean is great. I write a lot and I don't like the clutter and bulk of applications like Word. I love the easy and quickness of Bean. I also love that it has full screen.

The author claims it isn't a replacement for word. I disagree though. It does replace Word. Word was only ever good for simple text editing Word isn't suitable for the advanced things it tries to do. For serious complex layout a person should be using something like inDesign or LaTex. What's more no one should ever, for any reason, save in .doc format (it is neither archival nor transportable) so .doc isn't important.
