Now this helps all three of us have the same firmware which is lower than what is crap is to update but it a total no go.Apple needs to start stating which models this is for or fix the problem/s which is stopping it from installing.

Ditto here. ATI Radeon HD2600 Pro, Intel iMac, OS 10.5.2. Mac gives me a warning that I don't need this update, and Software Update says there is nothing to update.Monday, April 28 2008 @ 06:49 PM PDT

ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro and ATI Radeon HD 2600 are not the same card. Note the word 'Pro'. Unless your profiler shows the Pro card, this update isn't for you.Tuesday, April 29 2008 @ 01:54 AM PDT

Uh...how about an Apple iMac ATI Radeon 2600/2400 XT, as mentioned in the title? Or you might try using software update, which would tell you if you need the update. Or using the information in the 'About this mac' More Info box (click the apple in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. Select 'about this mac'. Click the button that says 'More info'. Click on the item labeled 'Graphics/Displays' in the left-hand column of the box that pops up. At the top of the window on the right will be the type and model number of your graphics card. Then you can compare that with what's in the title of the download). See how easy things are when you learn how to use your computer?Reply to This
