AOL is back for Mac. AOL is reaffirming its commitment to Mac users with the FIRST beta release of a brand new, all-in-one web software, now available for download.
The simple fact that it says "FIRST BETA" release when its up to number 15 tells me
that this is not even worth downloading.
AOL Desktop for Mac
All-in-one AOL client with integrated mail, AIM, browser.
Version: 1.5
Even Less Features than the Old! - bdkennedy1
For years people complained of all the features missing from the OS X version compared to the Windows version. Now this new software has even less than the old OS X version! So you get AOL mail and AIM. That's worth installing this whole application for?
No chat rooms, no newsgroups, no specialty areas. This is a case where free doesn't even cut it anymore.
AOL just doesn't get it and hasn't for 15 years. That's very sad.
