Unbelievable direct ripoff of Project Gutenberg. All these books are easily available in text, doc and pdf format here: http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page
It's clowns like this who give Mac shareware a bad name. Turning freeware volunteer labour into payware for the naive. Shame.

There are tons of apps that charge for making a process, which is freely available, more convenient. These people make it clear in the first sentence that the works on offer are free and available on the web. This is a download and reader tool - end of story. There is no 'con'. If you prefer to go to the Guttengurg site and navigate and download using it's clunky interface then do it and save yourself a few bucks. If you want convenient search and download, readablity and the facility to customize your reading experience and you are happy to pay the price of a few coffees to achieve that, then this is for you.Wednesday, May 28 2008 @ 02:54 AM PDT

I don't see how it's "ripping off" Project Gutenberg. It's essentially an iTunes.app for PG and other public domain texts. I don't think the old eReader software (once part of Palm) is going to be Universal. This looks like a nice alternative, with many useful features.Reply to This
