Will Not Install

Feedback Type:  Review

Contributed by: michaelfrankel Thursday, April 24 2008 @ 06:33 PM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

I've used both Apple Software Update and downloaded the stand-alone installer for this update and it WILL NOT INSTALL. I also tried downloading the installer through Software Update, then running it. Still would not work.

I've tried multiple times, each installation attempt failing with a very cryptic error message (1603) and no indication of what went wrong.

I turned on Microsoft Installer Logging, which gave me alot of information I don't know how to use. Perhaps someone else knows what to do with this information...

Anyone know what the deal is with this puppy?

Will Not Install - Soren0

You have to boot up into Windows and then run Apple's Software Update within Windows and it will show up.

It installed fine for me.

Will Not Install - libbenga

Same issue here with Vista updater on Mac Book Air. The stand alone installer does start up then disappears and nothing happenns. I've notified Apple.
