I want a good tool to combine images that output ready icons - for Leopard (i.e. 512x512). CCI was amazingly lightweight and good to use, isn't there something like this that works for Leopard?

Much as I like CCI, give Viou a try. Here is a list of some icon apps for Leopard:

I) What works on Leopard AND makes 512 x 512 pixel icons:

A) Viou v2.8.1b - Freeware. Note this is still in beta. Actually, there is no documentation that it will make 512 x 512 icons, but it has been 'optimized for Leopard', inferring that it will. Excellent feature set, including a Contextual Menu plugin, better than CCI! Read about it at:

B) img2icns v0.51 - Freeware. You have to create an image of your desired icon then drop it into the application. Read about it at:

C) iconeer v2.0.2 - $40. Complicated, costs more than CCI and is missing some features.. Read about it at:

II) What works on Leopard but does NOT make 512 x 512 pixel icons:

A) Folder Icon Maker v2.0 - $15. Looks a bit like CCI, but costs more and does less.
