it's marvelous! i have no idea why there are feedback that it's not working for them.

i mounted a css encrypted disc in less than 3 mins, original disc capacity showed 7.45gb, it's quite a recent movie release. i am also able to mount similiar dvds, especially those rented ones, on my mac to watch to view and do conversion or anything, which i previously can't. no bogus speed numbers, i did this on a 2.33 intel core dual 2 macbookpro.

it does what it says. it's free. it worked superb for me. this freeware coupled with handbrake another freeware, makes a great combination for ripping dvds (especially encrypted ones) to my portable device.

marvelous, marvelous. bravo. thank you.

So, does that mean that you're ripping dvds? I don't really understand how this works.

I too now use this exclusively and find it great. You MUST have VLC on your computer for this to work. Fairmount has mounted a decrypted image of any DVD I've thrown at it. On my ancient 1.2 gigaHz G4 tower that I use for burning, it usually takes less than 30 seconds to mount the image. If I try to play this image it has too much latency and fails. But I can burn directly from that decrypted image using DVD2One or Toast. Saves a LOT of time from the MTR rip to HD method, which was my old method. Not sure why other users are having problems but I find this to be a true boon.
