TextMate supports only ISO-8859-1 encodings besides UTF, so it's unusable in most countries.

The original poster is confused because the program does not support Chinese, Japanese, Korean (etc.) input. I don't think it's an encoding issue, just an input issue.

And yes, as far as I'm concerned, that renders the program entirely unusable.
