You can't use Caminicon in this version. Consequently if you want to fancy up Camino you have to stick with the previous version.

Re: Caminicon - Razzledazzle
Maybe you can change the style but the method espoused is intricate, complex and convoluted. In addition it is not something the average Mac user would be able to do. After all the prerequisite to use a browser should not include the ability to use code and program. More importantly you did not address yourself to the point I brought up which is the persistent (through all versions of Camino) inability to reorder tabs something that Safari with webkit has been able to do.Wednesday, May 21 2008 @ 09:21 PM PDT

Hi Morgan ,I don't know why you say that the instructions are for a 3rd party app when these are the exact instructions taken from the official Camino web site on changing themes:1) Right-click on Camino and choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu.2) Navigate to Contents/PreferencePanes.
3) Right-click on a .prefPane and choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu.
4) Navigate to Contents/Resources.
5) Replace the .tiff file with an icon of your choosing (make sure the file name is the same). The .tiff file is the prefpane icon you see in Camino’s preferences.
6) Repeat steps 3-5 for any other .prefPane icons you wish to change.

This is indeed a puzzling and intricate set of instructions because a user would have to do this for every icon in the toolbar and elsewhere that he wanted to change. This repitative task seems extremely arduous and really not worth the effort. What about my comments about reordering tabs just like Safari can? Why doesn't Camino work on that it seems that reordering tabs should be a request that may have been made previously by others.

Re: Caminicon - s_morgan
No, those instructions come from a third-party website; pimpmycamino.com is not affiliated with the Camino project any more than pimpmysafari.com is run by Apple. They discuss changes that are needed to third-party themes to make them work with CaminIcon, which was created by a third party, and how to work around the fact that CaminIcon no longer changes preference pane icons. The themes are made by third parties, the tools to install themes are made by third parties, and the instructions there were written by a third party. None of it is part of the Camino project, and none of it is official or supported.
Rearranging tabs is a planned feature, and is being worked on. Unfortunately, the fact that Safari (which is developed by a team of full-time developers) has a feature doesn't make it any easier for our small team of volunteers to implement.

Re: Caminicon - Uncle Asad
Instead of downgrading to an old, unsupported version, you can follow the steps listed here to re-enable theme installation (and, of course, urge the Caminicon developer to update his application).
