I hate to be a cultural imperialist, but English is the lingua franca for most of the world. With instructions - at least that's what I assume I'm looking at on the developer's web site - only in French, the potential of this little app is severely constrained. Since ToMacs does not automatically recognize networked volumes or PCs, something must need to be adjusted to make it work. Because the author cannot tell us what that is in a language most of us can understand, his app is useless to a great many potential users. Because he apparently cannot even read these critiques on Version Tracker, he may not even know (assuming he would care if he did know) that he is excluding so many people. This seems odd in that he went to the trouble of having the application's interface translated to English.

Still No English - philou3091

Don't think I don't care about english, it's just a bit difficult for me!
I translated my website in english, but it's surely not perfect, so be indulgent!

Still No English - WEW

Not everyone whose native language is English jumps to the same sarcastic conclusions that this guy did. Sorry about that! Have a good day:-)

Still No English - camner

Agreed. While it may be correct that the bulk of the IT world uses English and the exposure for the software and the developer would be broader if documentation included English, the tone of the original statement seemed a bit harsh. I look at it more this way: as a native English speaker I feel so fortunate that the software world speaks my language rather than forcing me to use a language I'm less comfortable in.
