Over a year ago I wrote that AHP, Instant Hijack feature crashed iDVD, where the themes of iDVD would not load but instead iDVD would crash at this point. I said that Unsanity was working to fix this problem (Apple also confirmed that AHP was the culprit). At this point, using Tiger 4.11 and the latest AHP 2.8.1, the problem still exists, HOWEVER now all one has to do is temporarily disable Application Enhancer, and upon restart, you can use iDVD with no problem. Temporarily disabling App Enhancer will work for one time, with one restart (a more permanent solution would be to uninstall it, but this is not necessary).
How sure am I that the Instant Hijack feature is the culprit? Because I recently downloaded MovieGate (another DVD authoring program) and this crashes as well, unless I first temporarily disable App Enhancer, restart, and then launch MovieGate.
Knowing all this, do I still recommend AHP? YES! You just have to be aware of this issue, and do the workaround.
