Problem with OpenGL 2.1 test

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Contributed by: Adreitz Monday, April 07 2008 @ 03:38 AM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

I just wanted to note that my Mac Pro 8x2.8 with GeForce 8800 GT passes all the tests, but the OpenGL 2.1 test doesn't display correctly. Instead of the sides of the cube being textured with moving fractals, the textures just appear as grayscale lines that move around. I'm running 10.5.2 with all the latest updates.

Problem with OpenGL 2.1 test - eduweb

Same problem here with a MacBook Pro and an nVidia 8600M GT. 10.5.2 and the latest video update installed.

Apple still hasn't fixed the nVidia drivers apparently.

Apple has fixed this problem at last! Mac OS X 10.5.5 was advertised as having "extensive graphics enhancements", and it seems that this was one of them!

On my Mac Pro 2.8 with NVIDIA 8800GT, the 2.1 test gave wonky results under OS X 10.5.4, but now it displays perfectly under 10.5.5.
