You can replace the dock.app in System/Library/CoreServices/dock.app with the dock.app tweaked by Transparent Dock. Don't forget to make a backup of the original dock.app, in case it doesn't work for you.. I did it and it works for me. I'm using OSX 10.4.11. Good luck.

Replace dock.app - DON GROOVE

This is real. I have done this on several computers. I had an old g4
with 10.4.8 on it. I copied the dashboard.app to my drive. started up off of the os disk replaced the .app and BAM! it works
