I'm about ready to adopt a new password, etc. manager. I believe I see a benefit to WebCon over 1Password that perhaps others might want to consider.
I use several computers in several geographic locations. Since the WebCon datafile can be stored on my iDisk, I can use it anywhere on any Mac or PC computer which has the WebCon app installed. Unlike KeyChain-based 1Password, as I understand it, which presumably is limited to the one computer where it's stored in KeyChain.
I'm still using, depending very heavily on the old and great Classic app. Dynodex which hasn't been updated since 1992- it still works perfectly thanks to great programming by Portfolio. But I worry about continuing to use Classic and of course it offers no special security or interaction with web sites.
Web Confidential

Dynodex - kit1
Both In Touch With and Now Contact can print to many different address book formats or easily create your own if not avail.Friday, May 30 2008 @ 09:24 AM PDT

Not completely true. Now Contact cannot make a very basic address "book," i.e. a series of single sheets of paper printed left and right sides, and front and back, then folded over and stapled down the middle. Now Contact can only print single pages front and back, but then you have to "bind" them on the left edge. Simple old Dynodex was easier to use and more versatile than modern programs. Ashame Apple has not made support for Classic on the new Intel Macs. Anyone aware of a modern Mac or Win program that can print folio pages like Dynodex?Tuesday, July 22 2008 @ 05:58 AM PDT

I still use the old Dynodex program for my address/telephone book, with comments. It allows me to print an A6-size book. I keep my old G3 Mac just for this, as I have not been able to find an OS X program that does the same. Do you know of any?Reply to This
