that this offers exactly the same functionality as the free "Combine PDFs" offered by Monkeybread software as a showcase for their realbasic plugins. In fact, they even give out the source code, so any one could build with something similar...

I have not tried this application, and therefore cannot comment on it's ability, but i have been using Combine PDFs for years and it does work very well... in fact it has been one of the "hidden" mac gems as far as i'm concerned...

Sorry, but Combine PDFs is NOT freeware, but offers a testdrive for 1000 Prints - which is sufficient inmost cases.
The licence is 20 EUR/30 USD.
